SMILE, I’M TAKING / Tuğba Ersoy
While exploring Mustafa Pasha, the richness of its historical and natural areas fascinates people. This unique blend of cultural heritage and natural beauty constantly creates a desire to take photographs. The desire to capture the remarkable aspects of Mustafa Pasha and to allow visitors to experience the historical and natural charm of the region in innovative ways is reflected in the project.
The basic concept of my project is to enable people to enjoy the natural beauty of Mustafa Pasha while keeping its historical essence alive. The design aims to offer visitors the chance to experience the region as it was in the past, blending history with a contemporary understanding of the environment. Key elements include areas for observing sunsets, interacting with the changing seasons and participating in night sky observations; each designed to establish a deep connection with nature and the flow of time.
To further enrich these experiences, priority was given to the integration of green spaces within and around the built structures. These green spaces serve multiple purposes. They provide a more natural setting for watching the sunset and create an environment that enhances the sensory experience. At the same time, they aim to improve the quality of life of visitors by providing calm and restorative outdoor environments. This focus on nature is consistent with sustainable design principles and ensures that the project not only experiences the beauty of Mustafa Pasha but also respects its ecological and cultural integrity.
The project encompasses several key areas, each designed for specific activities:
Night Observation and Photography Areas: Elevated areas equipped for stargazing and night photography allow visitors to appreciate Mustafa Pasha’s clear skies and unique nighttime ambiance.
Sunset Viewing Terraces: Carefully designed terraces strategically positioned to capture breathtaking sunset views enhance the visual and emotional impact of the experience. Seasonal Photography Areas: Dedicated areas where visitors can document and interact with the seasonal transformations of the landscape create a deeper connection to nature’s cyclical rhythms.
The interaction between the structures and green spaces has been meticulously planned to strike a balance between functionality and aesthetics. The project seamlessly integrates these elements, encouraging visitors to interact with the environment in meaningful and memorable ways. This approach not only highlights the natural and historical beauty of Mustafa Pasha but also encourages a holistic experience that resonates with its cultural and ecological values.
Ultimately, this project aims to create a destination that celebrates the historical heritage and natural splendor of Mustafa Pasha. By offering unique opportunities for exploration, observation and photography, it aims to create a sense of wonder and encourage visitors to connect with the timeless beauty of the area. The integration of green spaces, observation areas and experiential terraces reflects a commitment to both cultural preservation and environmental sustainability.
