Techno Crealab
This project proposes a technology-oriented education, entertainment, and production center located in the Üngüt neighborhood of Kahramanmaraş. The complex consists of four separate buildings, each designed for different functions, offering a holistic experience in digital literacy, hands-on learning, and creative production. The primary focus is to empower both children and adults by integrating educational systems like Montessori and STEM with cutting-edge technological tools.
Children are introduced to the world of robotics and coding through interactive workshops. The center provides track areas where students can test the robots they have built, blending play with learning in a natural and exploratory environment. For adults, the center offers structured training on how to operate CNC machines and 3D printers. These workshops also include programming basics, helping participants to gain technical certifications and open career opportunities. A showroom space allows them to exhibit and sell their creations.
The architectural character of the center is dynamic and expressive. The main entrance structure is clad in digital screens and expands dramatically at the front to capture public attention. It then narrows inward, inviting visitors into a layered interior experience. Due to the site’s slope, circulation ramps zigzag down the site, and at each turn, digital screens offer immersive exhibition experiences. Flexibility and openness are key elements across all structures. Wide-span spaces are supported by truss systems to ensure structural freedom and visual fluidity.
Additionally, the project emphasizes inclusive entertainment spaces. VR gaming rooms and immersive light-show chambers provide a futuristic dimension to the center, while public seating and a café offer places for rest and social interaction. These features are designed not only for learning but for community-building, making the center a new cultural landmark in Kahramanmaraş.
