The “Living Sprouting on Terraces” project addresses the lack of green spaces in urban environments by creating a residential complex where nature and community coexist. Designed for both students and families, the project integrates individual and shared terraces on each floor, enabling gardening and social interaction. Inspired by the narrow and elongated form of the site along a main street, the building expands horizontally to maximize space efficiency. The ground floor includes commercial units to activate the street, while the residential entrance is set back for privacy and separation. An angled building form is used to increase terrace areas and optimize natural light and ventilation, while maintaining a cohesive design language in the communal areas at the rear. The terraces function as both practical spaces and social connectors, encouraging interaction and a connection to nature. By vertically integrating green spaces and providing shared seating areas, the project fosters a sense of community, promotes sustainability, and offers a tranquil yet dynamic urban living experience.
