AGRI-GRID is an innovative and multi-functional museum complex situated in the Üngüt region of Kahramanmaraş, where agriculture and water culture converge. The project is designed on a grid-based layout, allowing for an organized yet fluid spatial experience. Embracing transparency through its glass facades, the structure opens up to nature, inviting the surrounding landscape into the architectural language. The museum houses a variety of exhibition halls, digital display zones, and interactive areas that explore the historical and contemporary narratives of agriculture.
The design includes specialized spaces such as a multi-purpose hall, classrooms, and a library, all of which are directly connected to gardens and water pools, encouraging continuous interaction between indoor learning and outdoor experience. These spaces are not isolated; instead, they are organically integrated into the garden and pool systems that run throughout the site, making the entire museum feel like a living, breathing agricultural landscape.
The central courtyard serves as a vibrant agricultural garden where cultivation practices can be observed up close. These gardens are supported with carefully designed landscape elements, blending local vegetation with agricultural plots. Workshops and tasting areas further enhance the sensory experience, allowing visitors to engage with local produce and traditional farming techniques.
Strategically placed water pools throughout the museum not only provide aesthetic and cooling benefits but also deepen the thematic connection to water as a life source in agriculture. AGRI-GRID thus offers an immersive cultural experience, bringing together traditional heritage and modern design in a space where learning, observation, and interaction harmoniously coexist.
