Course Explanation:

The studio focuses on the re-production of spatial experience at the edge of the urban core. It explores the socio-spatial contradictions between the urban core and the periphery, analyzing how cultural, social, and economic dynamics shape the evolving identity of the city. Students are expected to investigate the tension between these zones and propose new spatial strategies for transitional urban conditions.
