A project named “Neural Weave” focuses on a mixed-use development project involving housing and medical facilities. This project focuses on the healing process associated with the human body, specifically in today’s urban environment. As part of identifying a project related to determining the site, this project has ensured that facilities like educational buildings, worship buildings, and major roads are available, but very few health and rehabilitation facilities to offer for the housing density in this region. Therefore, this project considers architectural designs focused on addressing the need to provide experiences for the body and mind to renew itself in an attempt to address this shortage in this region. Based on information related to the noise map in this region, the café, restaurant, and shopping complex that requires public contribution is placed parallel to a major road causing noise.
The theme of “Regeneration” is a broad theme on which this architectural design is established, formulated, and developed in order to acquire a biological system for an architectural organism. Organationally, under this paradigm, the fitness centers, yoga & pilates centers, and rehabilitation centers in this architectural design will be situated in the “core” where this particular phenomenon of regeneration gets generated. Then, of course, come the residential units in this architectural design that would be situated in the “outer shell” where this healing environment gets converted into “real life.” The texture of a mesh for the development of this architectural design can be traced back in the “nerve” or “neural” part of this human body, which symbolizes an interface that would “regenerate” & “retain” this phenomenon of regeneration in the context of “expanded” & “urban” space.
The design shall be focused on integration between aesthetic quality in building design and rationality in design. The massing design shall be straight to highlight the Mesh design for the façade design for the structure. The massing design shall enable the rational placement of columns and beams to attain the seamless parking design for the basement floor as well as the design for the whole structure. Consequently, Neural Weave is considered an architectural integration for all requirements set by the site analysis requirements, integration between designs for buildings, and delivery for the users of their environment for working as well as living.
