The project is located in Kiçiköy Neighborhood, Talas district of Kayseri, and approaches housing not merely as a shelter but as a holistic living model that supports production, socialization, and interaction. Reinterpreting the concept of social housing, the project aims to create a strong social structure at the neighborhood scale by bringing together diverse user profiles.
On the ground floor, the building includes a publicly accessible café and workshop (atelier) space. These areas are designed as social and productive environments where both residents and people from the surrounding neighborhood can gather. The relationship between the café and the workshop supports a production–consumption cycle, contributing to economic and social sustainability. The transparent and permeable design of the ground floor enables a strong visual and physical connection between the building and the street.
The residential units on the upper floors are diversified to accommodate different household types. The 1+1, 2+1, and 3+1 apartment typologies located on the second, third, and top floors offer plan solutions that respond to various user needs. This diversity creates an inclusive housing model where different age groups and family structures can coexist. Balconies and terraces strengthen the indoor–outdoor relationship and support social interaction.
The basement floor contains a covered parking garage and a shelter, meeting users’ safety and daily needs while ensuring the functional continuity of the building. With its balanced organization between public and private spaces, the project proposes a sustainable and socially integrated living model for Kiçiköy Neighborhood.
