LOFT 4.50 KAYSERİ

Situated within the historic texture of the Old Talas region, this mixed-use development project comprises two primary residential blocks integrated with ground-floor social functions. The design strategy focuses on creating a harmonious balance between private living spaces and public community areas.

The residential component offers a variety of unit sizes ranging from 50m2 to 130m2.Although the compact nature of the smaller units primarily targets the student demographic—fitting for the university context—the diverse range of floor plans is designed to accommodate a broad spectrum of users, from individuals to families.

The podium levels of the blocks are dedicated to social interaction. The first block houses educational functions, including seminar halls and study lounges. The second block features a commercial cafeteria spanning approximately 400m2. A key architectural decision in the cafe design is the strict separation of circulation paths; a dedicated service entrance allows for direct access to the storage and kitchen areas without intersecting with the general customer entrance. Furthermore, the cafe utilizes a floor-to-ceiling height of 4.5 meters, significantly enhancing the volumetric quality and spaciousness of the interior.

In terms of landscape design, a diagonal pedestrian axis creates a dynamic flow between the two blocks. This pathway is lined with trees and soft landscaping to provide a pleasant recreational route. Additionally, ornamental pools are integrated to utilize the wide site area effectively. Finally, the façade design is intended to act as a visual landmark, intentionally contrasting with the traditional fabric to create a distinct architectural statement in the region.
