Context and Vision: Developed as a “Housing Plus” initiative, this project addresses the socio-cultural gaps identified within the existing urban fabric. Site analysis revealed a critical need not just for housing, but for a cultural anchor to unite the community. Consequently, the design creates a symbiosis between residential functions and a public Theatre, elevating the act of dwelling into an artistic experience. The project aims to converge residents and citizens upon a shared “stage of living.” 

Structural Tectonics and The Grid: The tectonic language of the design is founded on a raw, reinforced concrete rational grid. The honest materiality of concrete imbues the structure with a timeless character. However, this grid is not a monotonic repetition; rather, volumetric shifts and plan variations across different levels introduce a dynamic rhythm to both the façade and the interior spatiality. This structural clarity provides a legible, secure, and comfortable haven amidst the urban chaos, allowing users to navigate the space intuitively. 

Spatial Organization and Social Life: The building establishes a permeable interface by blurring the boundaries between private (housing) and public (theatre/foyer) realms. The modular voids generated by the grid system transform into common terraces, viewpoints, and spaces of encounter. While the ground-level theatre entrance invites the street in, the residential units on upper floors nestle into the sheltered pockets of the grid. The result is a collective architectural narrative where users easily decode and embrace the environment, becoming active participants—both actors and spectators—in a living, breathing structure.
