DIGITAL GOSTRONOMY IN SINASOS / Aynur Gökçe Bıyıklı
The project design concept is digital gastronomy. When the area was examined, the first thing that caught our attention was that there was not much architectural loss. Although the tourism function was intense, efforts were made to preserve the architectural values of the old buildings. However, when viewed from a cultural perspective, it was observed that Sinasos was slowly losing its identity. One of the important stages of cultural loss is food culture. Currently, there is only one restaurant in Mustafapaşa that reflects the Sinasos culture. It was not large and functional enough to introduce Sinasos food to tourists. This was the most striking problem seen in Mustafapaşa, so the aim is to introduce Sinasos food to visitors by combining the concept with accommodation. In this promotion, digital methods are included by deviating slightly from the traditional method. In this way, a function that offers remarkable and different experiences without contradicting and harming the region is aimed. In short, the functions can be defined as how we can transfer Sinasos culture not only to the present but also to the future. The area selection started with placing this concept in a very lively area and we did not see that hotels and accommodation areas were concentrated in some places in the region. This area was right in the middle and close to the square. The area was divided into two by a natural path. Therefore, it was decided that there should be more public functions there and the residential part should be on the other side. This aims to create some privacy for the residence and more accessibility and visibility for public spaces. In addition, a food street is being established in this way. The need for the display and tasting of the food made in the workshops can be met in this way. In this way, a nice and lively area is created for visitors. With the project having a multi-level and flat roof, an upper floor retreat area is offered to visitors. Therefore, a cover covering the terraces and semi-open spaces becomes a necessity and becomes a structure that attracts attention in the area.
