In VISIBLE Bonds Innovation Hub is a community-driven design platform that transforms the Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Cultural Center into a participatory urban hub. Located in the Onikişubat district of Kahramanmaraş, the project invites people from diverse backgrounds to come together—not only as users of the space but also as co-creators of urban solutions. Through collaboration with the municipality, architects, designers, and city planners, citizens take an active role in identifying and reimagining idle post-earthquake urban voids.

The building retains most of the original structure but introduces new architectural layers to support this collective mission. One of the key transformations is the former auditorium, which has been opened up and redefined as a stepped open-air amphitheater. These steps lead down to a digital screen in the basement, where ongoing design proposals and 3D visualizations of community projects are displayed, connecting the audience to the design process in real time.

This space operates as a living hub of innovation, where local communities, entrepreneurs, artists, and students collaborate to generate sustainable solutions and build meaningful social bonds. Alongside the amphitheater, the building includes a co-working space, digital fabrication lab, creative workshops, a public library corner, and a café—all designed to support inclusive, multidisciplinary interaction.

Circulation flows are intentionally fragmented and overlapping, creating alternative paths that blur the boundaries between formal and informal spaces, as well as between interior and exterior areas. Softscaped accessible areas act as social anchors, encouraging spontaneous encounters.

By activating an underused public building and expanding its purpose, InVISIBLE Bonds not only promotes social cohesion but also fosters a participatory culture of urban recovery, innovation, and resilience.
