SynART Square is an architectural design project that reinterprets the fusion of contemporary art and craft within a spatial and functional unity. The core concept of the project is shaped under the influence of syncretism, bringing together various disciplines to create an interactive, dynamic, and creative experiential space. The products, design ideas, and spaces of the project are formed through the lens of syncretism. The architectural design not only aims to establish a physical environment but also to provide a platform that strengthens social, artistic, and cultural connections. By utilizing the waste and outputs from the existing high school, the project nourishes itself from its surroundings while simultaneously giving back to its context.
The spatial organization of the project is defined by “nodes” and the spatial connections flowing between these points. In this context, exhibition spaces, workshops, open-air activity areas, and restoration spaces allow users to explore diverse experiential routes. Fluid forms and pathways marked with red lines guide visitors seamlessly between spaces.
The design details emphasize contemporary aesthetics through material selection, abstract geometric forms, and visual connections created across varying levels. Sections and façade details are curated to enhance continuity and spatial depth in both interior and exterior environments. SynART Square brings together art and craft, offering an inclusive experience that fosters creative thinking and production.
