This project reimagines an educational and public space by integrating innovative functions that bridge academia, technology, and community interaction. Central to the design is the incorporation of state-of-the-art digital fabrication facilities, including CNC and 3D machine workshops, material research labs, and a prototype workshop. These spaces enable the development and testing of furniture designs, blending creativity with cutting-edge technology.
The design fosters public engagement through interactive exhibition areas and ergonomics testing zones, allowing visitors to explore and experience the processes behind student-created furniture. Collaborative hubs, VR rooms, and a well-equipped library further enhance the educational and experiential value of the space.
By repurposing light-free areas for specialized functions, the project optimizes spatial efficiency while respecting the site’s historical context. This transformative approach not only advances educational goals but also establishes the site as a hub for innovation, public learning, and international collaboration, creating a forward-looking landmark.
