Since the project area is located within the campus of Kayseri Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, it is aimed to create a “nexus of art,craft and technolgy” that combines Kayseri’s industrial past with technology and innovation, supported by the craftmanship and craft training provided at the school, taking into account the historical mission of the school and the current educational structure. This center will bring the city’s industrial and educational heritage into the future, while bringing together industry art and crafts with modern technology and innovation to offer new opportunities for students and the city. N-ACT is an education and research center that combines art, science, technology and other disciplines with an interdisciplinary approach, aiming to develop individuals‘ creative thinking skills. It enables prototypes and small-scale productions using digital production tools and traditional hand tools. N-ACT enables art to go beyond a form of aesthetic expression and to be used as a means of knowledge production, discovery and inquiry. Artists, researchers, scientists and experts from different fields come together to collaborate on interdisciplinary creative projects.
