The “Art & Craft Hub” project aims to revitalize the historic Kayseri Central Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, formerly the Kayseri Art Institute, by integrating art, craft, and cultural activities into the daily lives of its community. The hub will serve as a collaborative space where young individuals can write plays, design and produce costumes, and perform in their auditorium, showcasing their creativity and teamwork. Additionally, the outputs of these productions, including plays and costumes, will be exhibited in dedicated permanent and temporary exhibition halls. By providing spaces such as ateliers, a library, a multipurpose hall, and a cafeteria, the project strives to create an accessible and prestigious area that respects the historical and architectural context while fostering contemporary approaches. The hub’s inclusive design targets young people both affiliated with the school and the broader community, as well as adults, enhancing intergenerational interaction and community engagement.
