The Tech-Craft Fusion Hub is an innovative center that bridges the craftsmanship traditions of the past with the digital technologies of the future, emphasizing education, innovation, and community engagement. Designed within the historic Kayseri Vocational High School campus, the project respects the area’s rich heritage by integrating most functions at underground levels, preserving the prominence of historical landmarks like Sırçalı Kümbet and creating an interactive public square around it. The hub features state-of-the-art workshops equipped with tools like 3D printers, CNC machines, and laser cutters, fostering hands-on learning for both vocational students and the wider community.
Interactive digital art exhibitions, showcasing augmented and virtual reality projects alongside traditional crafts, encourage collaboration between students and local artisans. Public workshops, hackathons, and competitions promote creativity and social interaction, while sustainability is prioritized through the use of recycled materials in digital production.
This project is ideally suited to Kayseri’s historical and educational context, blending its architectural heritage with future-oriented technology.
