Crafted Void / Zeynep Yılmaz

The goal of the revolutionary CraftedVoid project is to establish a vibrant center that balances contemporary innovation with traditional craftsmanship. Based on the idea of allocentric perception, the initiative highlights the shared cultural and educational journey of its users, emphasizing the collective experience.

The project’s distinct spatial character is shaped by the design ideas of split, light, geometry, and metaphorical emptiness. The idea of split represents the meeting point of innovation and tradition by generating dynamic and useful transitions across locations. Introspection is encouraged by metaphorical emptiness, which also creates openness and creativity by letting spaces breathe. Light is essential because it directs movement and highlights how architectural forms interact. These components are connected by geometry, which gives the design a solid yet flexible base.

A thriving craft mart at the center of CraftedVoid is where craftspeople display their handcrafted goods, preserving cultural legacy and fostering economic development. In order to create an immersive cultural narrative, this is complemented with educational ateliers, innovation centers, and a dedicated gallery area that showcases both classic and contemporary works.

The project also includes areas for technical high schools, which allow students to connect theory to practical practice in a lively and welcoming setting. CraftedVoid unites disparate groups around a shared goal of development, innovation, and artisanal preservation, serving as a beacon of cultural and educational innovation.
