Art Maze Art & Craft Center / Müzeyyen Talaslıoğlu

Art Maze Art & Craft Center is located next to a vocational high school in Kayseri, near an old tomb, with a hospital across the street. The project blends art, craftsmanship, and functionality, offering a dynamic space for discovery. It integrates the school’s educational function with the center’s artistic exploration, featuring art labyrinths, functional areas, and exhibitions displayed throughout the site and within the buildings.

Students create metal and wood art objects that are displayed and sold in shops. Urban furniture, designed by students through competitions, is exhibited in open spaces, blending art with daily life. The center also includes a 500-seat auditorium, a multipurpose hall, and a library for educational and cultural activities.

A central ramp leads to the basement, where performances from various art disciplines are held. On the ground floor, the art labyrinth continues to interact with the surrounding environment, with nodes within the courtyard that encourage visitor engagement. Art exhibitions are also scattered throughout the buildings, enhancing the immersive experience.

This project bridges craftsmanship and art, providing both students and visitors a deeper connection to the creative process through its interactive spaces, diverse functions, and the art displayed throughout the site.
