COMMON ROOTS / Armağan Gül

The social housing project designed for Fevzi Çakmak Neighborhood offers a living space specifically designed for families with children. The ground floor features a café and a children’s play area, providing families with a pleasant and functional environment. The play area opens to an inner garden, offering a safe space where children can interact with nature.

Two separate entrances have been planned for the café, positioned conveniently along the streets, ensuring easy access for people outside the apartment complex. The safety and privacy of the residents have been prioritized. The main entrance is set away from communal areas, allowing residents to directly access their homes. Commercial spaces are located exclusively on the ground floor, with controlled access to the upper floors. The security area at the main entrance ensures the monitoring of those using the commercial spaces, increasing the safety of the residents.

The upper floors offer housing plans suitable for different user profiles. The focus is on creating economic, compact, and functional living units, especially designed for married couples with children. Core placement and short corridors ensure an efficient and accessible layout. The project aims to provide a secure and nature-integrated living environment for its residents.
