This museum concept reimagines the experience of cultural heritage through immersive interaction, sensory exploration, and dynamic storytelling. Titled “LIVING MARAŞ,” the museum is designed to connect visitors with the deep cultural identity of the region, from its rich traditions to its innovative future.

Hall 1, “The Kahramanmaraş Experience,” invites visitors to touch, taste, and listen. Through engaging ice cream shows, music sessions with local instruments, and hands-on carpet weaving, guests directly interact with cultural practices. This hall focuses on activating the senses and forming an emotional connection with the city.

Hall 2, “Storytelling & Legends,” brings local folklore to life. With Karagöz shadow puppet shows, a digital storytelling wall, and augmented reality experiences, visitors dive into the myths and heroes of Kahramanmaraş. The space transforms into a theatrical and mystical environment that honors oral history and creative imagination.

Hall 4, “Future of Kahramanmaraş,” explores how tradition meets technology. Exhibits like 3D-printed motifs, smart textiles, and projection mapping installations showcase the evolution of heritage crafts in the digital age.

The museum also includes artisan-led workshops, where guests create pottery, textiles, and calligraphy, deepening their understanding through practice. The café area, “Tat & Huzur,” offers local flavors in a courtyard-like atmosphere that reflects domestic architecture and culinary stories.

On the rooftop, the “Gökyüzü Galerisi” (Sky Gallery) hosts temporary exhibitions and contemporary works, accessed via a rear staircase. It acts as a cultural observatory, connecting heritage to the global art scene under open skies.

Altogether, the museum offers a holistic experience—where every space speaks, tastes, and sings of Kahramanmaraş.
