Theater of Living / Elif Kılıç

This project is developed within the Housing+ approach, aiming to integrate a public function into a residential structure by bringing together living spaces and cultural activities. The additional function introduced in the project is a theater, which serves as the main element strengthening social and cultural interaction within the building.

Upon entering the building, users are welcomed by a lobby. This space is not only a transition area but also an interactive experience zone. Seating areas in the lobby allow visitors and residents to observe actors rehearsing in the rehearsal rooms, creating a transparent and accessible relationship between the theater and its audience.

The ground floor also includes a conference hall designed to host various events such as talks, presentations, workshops, and cultural gatherings. This space enhances the public character of the building and supports flexible use.

The first and second floors accommodate residential units designed for different user profiles, including families of three or four members, students, and couples. These housing units are planned to support both private living spaces and shared social interaction.

In addition, the project features a shared terrace accessible to all users. This common outdoor space aims to strengthen social interaction among residents and reinforce the relationship between public and residential areas.

Overall, the project proposes an interaction-oriented living model that integrates theater and conference functions into residential life, incorporating art, culture, and community into everyday living.
