Since the <\/span>project<\/span> area<\/span> is <\/span>located<\/span> within<\/span> the <\/span>campus<\/span> of Kayseri <\/span>Vocational<\/span> and<\/span> Technical <\/span>Anatolian<\/span> High School, it is <\/span>aimed<\/span> to<\/span> create<\/span> a \u201c<\/span>nexus<\/span> of <\/span>art,craft<\/span> and<\/span> technolgy<\/span>\u201d that <\/span>combines<\/span> Kayseri’s<\/span> industrial<\/span> past<\/span> with<\/span> technology<\/span> and<\/span> innovation<\/span>, <\/span>supported<\/span> by<\/span> the <\/span>craftmanship<\/span> and<\/span> craft<\/span> training<\/span> provided<\/span> at the <\/span>school<\/span>, <\/span>taking<\/span> into<\/span> account<\/span> the <\/span>historical<\/span> mission<\/span> of the <\/span>school<\/span> and<\/span> the <\/span>current<\/span> educational<\/span> structure<\/span>. <\/span>This<\/span> center<\/span> will<\/span> bring<\/span> the <\/span>city’s<\/span> industrial<\/span> and<\/span> educational<\/span> heritage<\/span> into<\/span> the <\/span>future<\/span>, <\/span>while<\/span> bringing<\/span> together<\/span> industry<\/span> art <\/span>and<\/span> crafts<\/span> with<\/span> modern <\/span>technology<\/span> and<\/span> innovation<\/span> to<\/span> offer<\/span> new<\/span> opportunities<\/span> for<\/span> students<\/span> and<\/span> the <\/span>city<\/span>. N-ACT is an <\/span>education<\/span> and<\/span> research<\/span> center<\/span> that <\/span>combines<\/span> art, <\/span>science<\/span>, <\/span>technology<\/span> and<\/span> other<\/span> disciplines<\/span> with<\/span> an <\/span>interdisciplinary<\/span> approach<\/span>, <\/span>aiming<\/span> to<\/span> develop<\/span> individuals<\/span>‘ <\/span>creative<\/span> thinking<\/span> skills<\/span>. <\/span>It<\/span> enables<\/span> prototypes<\/span> and<\/span> small-scale<\/span> productions<\/span> using<\/span> digital<\/span> production<\/span> tools<\/span> and<\/span> traditional<\/span> hand<\/span> tools<\/span>. N-ACT <\/span>enables<\/span> art <\/span>to<\/span> go<\/span> beyond<\/span> a form of <\/span>aesthetic<\/span> expression<\/span> and<\/span> to<\/span> be <\/span>used<\/span> as a <\/span>means<\/span> of <\/span>knowledge<\/span> production<\/span>, <\/span>discovery<\/span> and<\/span> inquiry<\/span>. <\/span>Artists<\/span>, <\/span>researchers<\/span>, <\/span>scientists<\/span> and<\/span> experts<\/span> from<\/span> different<\/span> fields<\/span> come<\/span> together<\/span> to<\/span> collaborate<\/span> on <\/span>interdisciplinary<\/span> creative<\/span> projects<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
