Kahramanmara\u015f Fabric Museum \u2013 Project Description
\nThe Kahramanmara\u015f Fabric Museum is envisioned as a unique cultural and production hub that blends the city\u2019s deep-rooted textile heritage with contemporary exhibition and manufacturing methods. Designed as a 4000 m\u00b2 facility, the museum includes permanent exhibition halls, interactive experience zones, hands-on production workshops, a temporary gallery, research unit, caf\u00e9, museum shop, and open-air event spaces.
\nVisitors will engage with the traditional textile culture of Kahramanmara\u015f through both physical artifacts and digital interfaces. They will have the opportunity to explore and recreate motifs such as Elibelinde, Ko\u00e7 Boynuzu, Pomegranate, and the Tree of Life, using traditional techniques like hand-weaving and natural dyeing. Simultaneously, modern tools such as laser cutting and tufting machines allow for innovative production experiences in the workshop areas.
\nThe museum also supports live demonstrations, seasonal festivals, and participatory outdoor exhibitions, transforming the exterior spaces into dynamic learning and cultural zones.
