Unaware of this, Silen’s existence preserves and re-enacts the memories of the vanished. Its circular body symbolizes the cycle of life, while its sponge interior and tentacles absorb and maintain memories. A triangular antenna guides its direction, and square feet provide balance, allowing it to continuously assume new roles. Its blue color represents the memories. The city’s ground level mirrors Silen’s structure. At the centre lies the main resting area, functioning as a reset point. Behind it, two enclosed spaces allow sponge and body repair. Leaving the resting area, Silen first visits the memory bank, accessed via a path of rhythmically arranged wooden rods echoing the bank’s interior. Inside, it absorbs memories and moves along a separate path symbolizing adaptation until fully internalized. Next, Silen traverses scent corridors, where elements of varying and equal heights represent sensory perception and harmony. In the pyramid-shaped central space, scents are absorbed, marking the transition from adaptation to alignment. The journey continues through a labyrinth of talking walls. Despite multiple paths, the labyrinth leads to a single exit, reflecting the city’s permanence even as Silen’s roles shift. After performing on the theatre stage, Silen ascends to the terrace level. Here, the scent corridor evokes negative emotions, while wind chimes convey loss of control and the feeling of returning home. Enclosed railings guide the return path. Finally, referencing Melania and the city’s repetitive cycle, Silen descends rapidly by elevator to the main resting area, completing its continuous journey of memory, adaptation, and preservation.

SILENTUM TURBA Long ago, a catastrophe caused the disappearance of all creatures except Silen.
