In this city, connections and movements are more important than permanent buildings. Velora is shaped by energy, movement, and repetition. The city changes over time and is built through the actions of a creature called Moonily. Moonily is a spool-shaped creature that lives by using energy and rope. At the center of the city, Moonily turns inside a wheel and gets its first energy. This energy is not kept inside its body directly. Instead, Moonily uses movement and contact with surfaces to transfer the energy. While moving, Moonily wraps itself with rope and uses energy at the same time. The rope does not create permanent structures but temporary paths in the city. Moonily also gets energy from the moon. It uses an elevator to go up toward the moonlight. When Moonily hits a special wall, the moon energy enters its body. This wall is important because it helps the energy move into Moonily. Because of this system, the atmosphere of Velora feels both mechanical and dream-like, with rotating paths, hanging ropes, and vertical movement. From a user’s point of view, everyday life in Velora is about watching and following these cycles. The user sees Moonily going down on a rotating path and activating rope spools that create walkable routes. When Moonily finishes all its rope, it dies. The remaining ropes are left in a shared area and saved for future creatures. Then, a new Moonily comes out from the creature storage, and the cycle starts again. In Velora, the city only exists as long as energy and movement continue.

MOONILY IN VELORA Velora is a city inspired by Ersilia from Invisible Cities.
