This\u00a0project\u00a0is a\u00a0mixed-use\u00a0social\u00a0housing\u00a0development\u00a0designed\u00a0for\u00a0young\u00a0urban\u00a0residents\u00a0who\u00a0seek\u00a0a\u00a0balance\u00a0between\u00a0individual\u00a0living,\u00a0social\u00a0interaction,\u00a0and\u00a0creative\u00a0production.\u00a0Located\u00a0in Kayseri,\u00a0within\u00a0an urban\u00a0context\u00a0shaped\u00a0by\u00a0a dense\u00a0young\u00a0population\u00a0and\u00a0student\u00a0life,\u00a0the\u00a0project\u00a0aims\u00a0to\u00a0provide\u00a0a\u00a0stable\u00a0housing\u00a0model\u00a0that\u00a0is\u00a0used\u00a0throughout\u00a0the\u00a0year.\u00a0By\u00a0bringing\u00a0production\u00a0and\u00a0living\u00a0practices\u00a0together\u00a0under\u00a0one\u00a0roof,\u00a0the\u00a0building\u00a0proposes\u00a0an\u00a0alternative\u00a0to\u00a0conventional\u00a0apartment\u00a0typologies.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0main\u00a0spatial\u00a0concept\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0project\u00a0is\u00a0based\u00a0on a\u00a0layered\u00a0organization\u00a0that\u00a0separates\u00a0different\u00a0levels\u00a0of\u00a0use\u00a0and\u00a0privacy.\u00a0The\u00a0ground\u00a0floor\u00a0is\u00a0conceived\u00a0as a\u00a0public\u00a0and\u00a0semi-public\u00a0interface\u00a0between\u00a0the\u00a0building\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0city.\u00a0This\u00a0level\u00a0accommodates\u00a0two workshop\u00a0spaces\u00a0with\u00a0fixed\u00a0production\u00a0disciplines:\u00a0ceramic\u00a0and\u00a0wood\u00a0workshops.\u00a0The\u00a0workshops\u00a0are\u00a0spatially\u00a0connected\u00a0yet\u00a0differentiated\u00a0according\u00a0to\u00a0their\u00a0specific\u00a0production\u00a0requirements.\u00a0Due\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0presence of\u00a0kilns,\u00a0the\u00a0ceramic\u00a0workshop is\u00a0positioned\u00a0in a\u00a0more\u00a0controlled\u00a0corner\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0building\u00a0and\u00a0is\u00a0divided\u00a0into\u00a0wet\u00a0and\u00a0dry\u00a0areas\u00a0in\u00a0order\u00a0to\u00a0ensure\u00a0a\u00a0safe\u00a0and\u00a0organized\u00a0working\u00a0process.\u00a0The\u00a0wood\u00a0workshop, on\u00a0the\u00a0other\u00a0hand, is\u00a0designed\u00a0as a\u00a0more\u00a0open\u00a0and\u00a0flexible\u00a0production\u00a0space.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0workshop\u00a0areas\u00a0are\u00a0not\u00a0conceived\u00a0as\u00a0flexible\u00a0spaces\u00a0that\u00a0constantly\u00a0transform\u00a0according\u00a0to\u00a0changing\u00a0events, but\u00a0rather\u00a0as\u00a0curatorial\u00a0working\u00a0environments\u00a0with\u00a0a\u00a0fixed\u00a0production\u00a0layout.\u00a0This\u00a0approach\u00a0allows\u00a0the\u00a0architectural\u00a0character\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0space\u00a0to\u00a0remain\u00a0consistent\u00a0while\u00a0enabling\u00a0the\u00a0produced\u00a0works\u00a0and\u00a0production\u00a0processes\u00a0to\u00a0evolve\u00a0over\u00a0time.\u00a0The\u00a0ground\u00a0floor\u00a0also\u00a0includes\u00a0a\u00a0caf\u00e9\u00a0space\u00a0for\u00a0both\u00a0residents\u00a0and\u00a0visitors,\u00a0functioning\u00a0as a\u00a0social\u00a0meeting\u00a0point\u00a0that\u00a0supports\u00a0everyday\u00a0interaction.\u00a0The\u00a0works\u00a0produced\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0workshops\u00a0are\u00a0not\u00a0transferred\u00a0to\u00a0a\u00a0commercial\u00a0sales\u00a0area\u00a0and\u00a0are\u00a0addressed\u00a0within\u00a0a\u00a0purely\u00a0production-\u00a0and\u00a0experience-oriented\u00a0framework.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
