The intersections of the surrounding streets on the east are not treated merely as circulation data, but as spatial generators producing direction, angle, and movement. These urban vectors define the primary orientations of the building, and the mass is deliberately positioned along these angles, resulting in a fragmented and directional formal language. In this way, the museum becomes an architectural continuation of the surrounding urban flows rather than an isolated object.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The\u00a0intention\u00a0to\u00a0create\u00a0wide,\u00a0uninterrupted\u00a0interior\u00a0spaces\u00a0directly\u00a0informed\u00a0the\u00a0structural\u00a0strategy.\u00a0Large\u00a0spans\u00a0are\u00a0achieved\u00a0through\u00a0the\u00a0use\u00a0of\u00a0truss\u00a0beams\u00a0spanning\u00a0between\u00a0reinforced\u00a0concrete\u00a0columns.\u00a0This\u00a0system\u00a0minimizes\u00a0structural\u00a0intrusion\u00a0within\u00a0exhibition\u00a0areas\u00a0and\u00a0allows\u00a0for\u00a0a\u00a0high\u00a0degree\u00a0of\u00a0spatial\u00a0flexibility,\u00a0enabling\u00a0the\u00a0installation\u00a0of\u00a0light-based\u00a0exhibits\u00a0at\u00a0varying\u00a0scales\u00a0and\u00a0configurations.\u00a0The\u00a0structural\u00a0system\u00a0thus\u00a0operates\u00a0not\u00a0only\u00a0as a\u00a0technical\u00a0solution, but as an\u00a0enabling\u00a0framework\u00a0for\u00a0curatorial\u00a0freedom.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Internal\u00a0circulation\u00a0is\u00a0conceived\u00a0as a\u00a0controlled\u00a0perceptual\u00a0sequence.\u00a0Visitors\u00a0are\u00a0first\u00a0guided\u00a0through\u00a0dark\u00a0tunnels\u00a0into\u00a0enclosed\u00a0spaces,\u00a0marking\u00a0a\u00a0clear\u00a0threshold\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0exterior\u00a0environment.\u00a0This\u00a0transition\u00a0culminates\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0dark\u00a0room,\u00a0where\u00a0the\u00a0near\u00a0absence\u00a0of\u00a0light\u00a0produces\u00a0a\u00a0deliberate\u00a0perceptual\u00a0loss\u00a0and\u00a0a\u00a0state\u00a0of\u00a0sensory\u00a0neutralization.\u00a0Following\u00a0this\u00a0moment of\u00a0rupture,\u00a0the\u00a0route\u00a0ascends\u00a0via\u00a0a\u00a0ramp\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0+2\u00a0level,\u00a0where\u00a0light\u00a0is\u00a0gradually\u00a0reintroduced\u00a0and\u00a0spatial\u00a0openness\u00a0increases.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The\u00a0most\u00a0striking\u00a0architectural\u00a0moment\u00a0emerges\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0main\u00a0volume\u00a0defined\u00a0by\u00a0a\u00a0fractured\u00a0triangular\u00a0roof.\u00a0Triangular\u00a0slits\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0roof\u00a0admit\u00a0controlled\u00a0daylight\u00a0while\u00a0simultaneously\u00a0acting\u00a0as a\u00a0spatial\u00a0diagram\u00a0that\u00a0traces\u00a0and\u00a0reinforces\u00a0circulation.\u00a0This\u00a0zone\u00a0functions\u00a0as\u00a0the\u00a0Simulation\u00a0Pavilion.\u00a0The\u00a0sequence\u00a0continues\u00a0into\u00a0the\u00a0Fractured\u00a0Room,\u00a0composed\u00a0of\u00a0broken\u00a0wall\u00a0planes\u00a0that\u00a0further\u00a0destabilize\u00a0perception.\u00a0The\u00a0visitor\u00a0then\u00a0completes\u00a0the\u00a0loop\u00a0by\u00a0reaching\u00a0the\u00a0temporary\u00a0exhibition\u00a0area.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Galvanized\u00a0metal\u00a0cladding\u00a0is\u00a0used\u00a0on\u00a0both\u00a0roof\u00a0and\u00a0fa\u00e7ade.\u00a0Its\u00a0reflective\u00a0quality\u00a0enhances\u00a0the\u00a0building\u2019s\u00a0dialogue\u00a0with\u00a0light,\u00a0while\u00a0its\u00a0industrial\u00a0character\u00a0and\u00a0durability\u00a0reinforce\u00a0the\u00a0museum\u2019s\u00a0contemporary\u00a0and\u00a0experiential\u00a0identity.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6318\" src=\"http:\/\/archworks.agu.edu.tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/EZGI_OZTURK_FINALJURY_EXHIBITION_POSTER_PNG.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"14043\" height=\"9933\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MUSEUM OF LIGHT \/ EZG\u0130 \u00d6ZT\u00dcRK The form of the Light Museum is shaped by the decision to locate the main entrance on the eastern edge of the site.
