Faceted Spine Housing proposes a collective living model that reinterprets housing typology not solely as a shelter function, but through the concepts of shared circulation, social interaction, and economic solidarity. The project aims to create an accessible, sharing-oriented, and sustainable residential environment for low-income families, students, and young couples.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0project\u00a0site is\u00a0located\u00a0at a\u00a0point\u00a0characterized\u00a0by\u00a0intense\u00a0urban\u00a0activity\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0intersection\u00a0of multiple\u00a0transportation\u00a0axes.\u00a0In\u00a0this\u00a0context,\u00a0the\u00a0building\u00a0is\u00a0conceived\u00a0not as an\u00a0isolated\u00a0housing\u00a0block, but as an\u00a0integrated\u00a0system\u00a0that\u00a0establishes\u00a0a\u00a0strong\u00a0relationship\u00a0with\u00a0the\u00a0city\u00a0and\u00a0contributes\u00a0to\u00a0public\u00a0life. Two main\u00a0residential\u00a0masses\u00a0are\u00a0positioned\u00a0to\u00a0create\u00a0a\u00a0strong\u00a0spatial\u00a0relationship\u00a0between\u00a0them,\u00a0forming\u00a0a\u00a0centrally\u00a0defined\u00a0circulation\u00a0space.\u00a0<\/span>This central circulation space, which\u00a0constitutes\u00a0the main design concept of the project, is structured around the idea of a \u201cspine.\u201d The spine functions not only as a physical connector between the buildings but also as a social space that enables encounters, interaction, and shared use among residents. The circulation scheme is organized around this spine, allowing collective living to be continuously perceived at a spatial level.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The triangular and fractured surfaces used in the fa\u00e7ade design define the \u201cfaceted\u201d character of the building. This faceted configuration creates rhythm and depth on the fa\u00e7ade while enhancing the building\u2019s dynamic perception through light and shadow relationships. At the same time, the fa\u00e7ade geometry makes the internal circulation and spatial movement legible from the exterior.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Semi-public\u00a0and\u00a0productive\u00a0functions\u00a0located\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0ground\u00a0floor\u00a0support\u00a0the\u00a0project\u2019s\u00a0economic\u00a0and\u00a0social\u00a0sustainability. A\u00a0home-style\u00a0restaurant\u00a0provides\u00a0affordable\u00a0meal\u00a0services\u00a0while\u00a0creating\u00a0employment\u00a0opportunities\u00a0for\u00a0residents.\u00a0In\u00a0addition,\u00a0the\u00a0agricultural\u00a0cooperative\u00a0space\u00a0is\u00a0designed\u00a0to\u00a0monitor\u00a0and\u00a0organize\u00a0products\u00a0produced\u00a0by\u00a0local\u00a0residents,\u00a0grouping\u00a0them\u00a0and\u00a0offering\u00a0them\u00a0for\u00a0sale\u00a0through\u00a0a\u00a0local\u00a0market\u00a0established\u00a0on\u00a0specific\u00a0days\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0week.\u00a0This\u00a0system\u00a0aims\u00a0to\u00a0revitalize\u00a0the\u00a0neighborhood\u00a0economy\u00a0and\u00a0strengthen\u00a0local\u00a0solidarity.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
