My main aim was to make recycling visible instead of hiding it behind facades, and to integrate this idea into everyday life through housing. The project was developed within the scope of the ARCH201 Housing+ studio, combining residential use with a community-oriented + function.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">During\u00a0the\u00a0design\u00a0process, I\u00a0mainly\u00a0focused\u00a0on\u00a0balconies.\u00a0Instead\u00a0of\u00a0treating\u00a0them\u00a0as\u00a0passive\u00a0or\u00a0secondary\u00a0spaces, I\u00a0wanted\u00a0to\u00a0make\u00a0balconies\u00a0the\u00a0most\u00a0noticeable\u00a0parts\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0building.\u00a0For\u00a0this\u00a0reason, I\u00a0wrapped\u00a0and\u00a0emphasized\u00a0the\u00a0balconies\u00a0with\u00a0facade\u00a0elements\u00a0made\u00a0of\u00a0recycled\u00a0plastic\u00a0and\u00a0pushed\u00a0them\u00a0outward\u00a0to\u00a0make\u00a0them\u00a0more\u00a0visible.\u00a0In\u00a0this\u00a0way,\u00a0the\u00a0facade\u00a0becomes\u00a0more\u00a0than\u00a0just\u00a0a\u00a0building\u00a0envelope\u00a0and\u00a0starts\u00a0to\u00a0communicate\u00a0the\u00a0idea of\u00a0sustainability\u00a0directly.\u00a0The\u00a0project\u00a0includes\u00a0three\u00a0different\u00a0housing\u00a0types.\u00a0The\u00a0first\u00a0type\u00a0is\u00a0designed\u00a0for\u00a0family\u00a0use\u00a0and\u00a0offers\u00a0a\u00a0larger\u00a0and\u00a0more\u00a0flexible\u00a0layout.\u00a0The\u00a0second\u00a0type\u00a0is\u00a0more\u00a0compact\u00a0and\u00a0responds\u00a0to\u00a0smaller\u00a0households.\u00a0The\u00a0third\u00a0type\u00a0is\u00a0designed\u00a0as a\u00a0duplex\u00a0unit\u00a0and\u00a0allows\u00a0different\u00a0living\u00a0scenarios.\u00a0With\u00a0these\u00a0three\u00a0housing\u00a0types, I\u00a0aimed\u00a0to\u00a0bring\u00a0together\u00a0different\u00a0user\u00a0profiles\u00a0within\u00a0the\u00a0same\u00a0building.\u00a0I\u00a0also\u00a0designed\u00a0the\u00a0vertical\u00a0circulation\u00a0to\u00a0be\u00a0clearly\u00a0visible\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0outside. I\u00a0placed\u00a0the\u00a0spiral\u00a0staircase\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0elevator\u00a0outside\u00a0the\u00a0main\u00a0building\u00a0mass\u00a0and\u00a0covered\u00a0them\u00a0with\u00a0recycled\u00a0plastic\u00a0material.\u00a0This\u00a0decision\u00a0allowed\u00a0both\u00a0movement\u00a0and\u00a0material\u00a0use\u00a0to\u00a0become\u00a0readable\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0facade.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As\u00a0the\u00a0+\u00a0function\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0project, I\u00a0designed\u00a0an\u00a0open\u00a0mini\u00a0lab,\u00a0exhibition\u00a0spaces,\u00a0and\u00a0a workshop.\u00a0In\u00a0the\u00a0workshop,\u00a0cups\u00a0made\u00a0from\u00a0recycled\u00a0plastic\u00a0are\u00a0produced,\u00a0and\u00a0I\u00a0aimed\u00a0for\u00a0these\u00a0cups\u00a0to\u00a0be\u00a0both\u00a0sold\u00a0and\u00a0actively\u00a0used\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0caf\u00e9\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0lower\u00a0floor.\u00a0In\u00a0this\u00a0way, I\u00a0created\u00a0a\u00a0continuous\u00a0cycle\u00a0between\u00a0production,\u00a0use,\u00a0and\u00a0exhibition.
