In Talas, gardens and productive landscapes have historically functioned not only as agricultural areas but also as integral parts of everyday life and social interaction. The project aims to reinterpret this local heritage through a contemporary housing model.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The spatial organization of the project is based on the idea of a living structure that expands gradually from a central core toward the exterior. This core is derived from the\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">sofa<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, the central living space in traditional Kayseri houses. However, in this project, the sofa is reinterpreted as a\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">greenhouse designed as an\u00a0additional\u00a0function of the dwelling<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, rather than a symbolic element. The greenhouse is directly integrated into daily life as an active space for production, maintenance, and everyday use.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Acting as both a spatial and climatic interface, the greenhouse creates a transitional zone between the housing units and the orchard. It softens the boundary between interior and exterior spaces while supporting seasonal activities and collective use. From this core, the spatial organization expands toward semi-public shared areas and\u00a0ultimately reaches\u00a0the orchard,\u00a0establishing\u00a0a gradual transition from individual living to collective experience.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Housing units are designed as individual living shells positioned around the core. While privacy is\u00a0maintained, visual and spatial connections with the greenhouse and shared spaces encourage social interaction among residents. The organic character of the project does not\u00a0emerge\u00a0from formal imitation of nature, but from spatial continuity, functional transformation, and everyday usage scenarios.
