{"id":7118,"date":"2026-02-05T15:47:49","date_gmt":"2026-02-05T15:47:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/archworks.agu.edu.tr\/?p=7118"},"modified":"2026-02-05T15:47:49","modified_gmt":"2026-02-05T15:47:49","slug":"processual-morphogenesis-esra-karakus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/archworks.agu.edu.tr\/index.php\/2026\/02\/05\/processual-morphogenesis-esra-karakus\/","title":{"rendered":"PROCESSUAL MORPHOGENESIS\u00a0 \/ ESRA KARAKU\u015e"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">PROCESSUAL MORPHOGENESIS\u00a0<\/span><\/b><strong> \/ ESRA KARAKU\u015e<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This\u00a0project\u00a0proposes\u00a0a\u00a0new\u00a0type\u00a0of\u00a0museum\u00a0that\u00a0shifts\u00a0the\u00a0focus\u00a0from\u00a0displaying\u00a0finished\u00a0artworks\u00a0to\u00a0revealing\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">processes,\u00a0stories,\u00a0and\u00a0human\u00a0interactions<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0behind\u00a0artistic\u00a0production.\u00a0Rather\u00a0than\u00a0functioning\u00a0as a\u00a0conventional\u00a0white\u00a0cube,\u00a0the\u00a0museum\u00a0is\u00a0conceived\u00a0as a\u00a0living\u00a0and\u00a0continuously\u00a0evolving\u00a0system\u00a0where\u00a0art is\u00a0made\u00a0visible\u00a0through\u00a0time.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Located\u00a0within\u00a0a\u00a0complex\u00a0urban\u00a0and\u00a0topographic\u00a0context,\u00a0the\u00a0form of\u00a0the\u00a0building\u00a0emerges\u00a0directly\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0landscape.\u00a0Existing\u00a0trees\u00a0and\u00a0contour\u00a0lines\u00a0are\u00a0traced\u00a0and\u00a0transformed\u00a0into\u00a0architectural\u00a0elements,\u00a0allowing\u00a0the\u00a0structure\u00a0to\u00a0adapt\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0slope\u00a0and\u00a0grow\u00a0organically\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0site.\u00a0The\u00a0building\u00a0does\u00a0not\u00a0impose\u00a0itself\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0terrain;\u00a0instead, it\u00a0follows\u00a0it.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">At\u00a0the\u00a0core\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0project\u00a0are\u00a0pneumatic\u00a0bubble\u00a0spaces\u00a0that\u00a0host\u00a0artistic\u00a0production,\u00a0experimentation,\u00a0and\u00a0collaboration.\u00a0These\u00a0bubbles\u00a0function\u00a0as\u00a0flexible\u00a0units\u00a0where\u00a0artists\u00a0work\u00a0openly,\u00a0while\u00a0visitors\u00a0are\u00a0invited\u00a0to\u00a0observe,\u00a0learn,\u00a0and\u00a0participate\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0creative\u00a0process.\u00a0Upper-level\u00a0bubbles\u00a0are\u00a0dedicated\u00a0to\u00a0temporary\u00a0exhibitions\u00a0and\u00a0are\u00a0connected\u00a0by\u00a0colorful\u00a0ETFE\u00a0tunnel\u00a0passages\u00a0that\u00a0turn\u00a0circulation\u00a0into\u00a0an\u00a0immersive\u00a0narrative\u00a0experience.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The\u00a0museum\u00a0operates\u00a0in\u00a0close\u00a0collaboration\u00a0with\u00a0surrounding\u00a0cultural\u00a0institutions.\u00a0Artworks\u00a0produced\u00a0within\u00a0the\u00a0museum\u00a0travel\u00a0to\u00a0neighboring\u00a0museums\u00a0for\u00a0exhibition,\u00a0while\u00a0their\u00a0stories,\u00a0processes,\u00a0and\u00a0traces\u00a0remain\u00a0embedded\u00a0in\u00a0this\u00a0building.\u00a0In\u00a0this\u00a0way,\u00a0the\u00a0museum\u00a0becomes\u00a0a\u00a0narrative\u00a0archive\u00a0rather\u00a0than\u00a0a\u00a0container\u00a0of\u00a0objects.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Openings\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0shell\u00a0structure\u00a0are\u00a0carefully\u00a0positioned\u00a0according\u00a0to\u00a0daylight\u00a0and\u00a0spatial\u00a0needs. They\u00a0allow\u00a0colored\u00a0light\u00a0to\u00a0enter\u00a0production\u00a0spaces,\u00a0animate\u00a0public\u00a0areas\u00a0such\u00a0as\u00a0the\u00a0caf\u00e9\u00a0and\u00a0ground\u00a0art\u00a0zones,\u00a0and\u00a0partially\u00a0reveal\u00a0the\u00a0bubble\u00a0volumes\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0fa\u00e7ade,\u00a0making\u00a0the\u00a0interior\u00a0processes\u00a0visible\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0city.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Through\u00a0openness,\u00a0adaptability,\u00a0and\u00a0participation,\u00a0the\u00a0project\u00a0redefines\u00a0the\u00a0museum\u00a0as a\u00a0collective\u00a0space\u00a0where\u00a0architecture, art,\u00a0and\u00a0narrative\u00a0continuously\u00a0transform\u00a0together.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7120\" src=\"http:\/\/archworks.agu.edu.tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/karakusesra_3577_661575_FINAL-TESLIM-Esra-KARAKUS.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"14043\" height=\"9933\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PROCESSUAL MORPHOGENESIS\u00a0 \/ ESRA KARAKU\u015e This\u00a0project\u00a0proposes\u00a0a\u00a0new\u00a0type\u00a0of\u00a0museum\u00a0that\u00a0shifts\u00a0the\u00a0focus\u00a0from\u00a0displaying\u00a0finished\u00a0artworks\u00a0to\u00a0revealing\u00a0the\u00a0processes,\u00a0stories,\u00a0and\u00a0human\u00a0interactions\u00a0behind\u00a0artistic\u00a0production.\u00a0Rather\u00a0than\u00a0functioning\u00a0as a\u00a0conventional\u00a0white\u00a0cube,\u00a0the\u00a0museum\u00a0is\u00a0conceived\u00a0as a\u00a0living\u00a0and\u00a0continuously\u00a0evolving\u00a0system\u00a0where\u00a0art is\u00a0made\u00a0visible\u00a0through\u00a0time.\u00a0 Located\u00a0within\u00a0a\u00a0complex\u00a0urban\u00a0and\u00a0topographic\u00a0context,\u00a0the\u00a0form of\u00a0the\u00a0building\u00a0emerges\u00a0directly\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0landscape.\u00a0Existing\u00a0trees\u00a0and\u00a0contour\u00a0lines\u00a0are\u00a0traced\u00a0and\u00a0transformed\u00a0into\u00a0architectural\u00a0elements,\u00a0allowing\u00a0the\u00a0structure\u00a0to\u00a0adapt\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0slope\u00a0and\u00a0grow\u00a0organically\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0site.\u00a0The\u00a0building\u00a0does\u00a0not\u00a0impose\u00a0itself\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0terrain;\u00a0instead, it\u00a0follows\u00a0it.\u00a0 At\u00a0the\u00a0core\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0project\u00a0are\u00a0pneumatic\u00a0bubble\u00a0spaces\u00a0that\u00a0host\u00a0artistic\u00a0production,\u00a0experimentation,\u00a0and\u00a0collaboration.\u00a0These\u00a0bubbles\u00a0function\u00a0as\u00a0flexible\u00a0units\u00a0where\u00a0artists\u00a0work\u00a0openly,\u00a0while\u00a0visitors\u00a0are\u00a0invited\u00a0to\u00a0observe,\u00a0learn,\u00a0and\u00a0participate\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0creative\u00a0process.\u00a0Upper-level\u00a0bubbles\u00a0are\u00a0dedicated\u00a0to\u00a0temporary\u00a0exhibitions\u00a0and\u00a0are\u00a0connected\u00a0by\u00a0colorful\u00a0ETFE\u00a0tunnel\u00a0passages\u00a0that\u00a0turn\u00a0circulation\u00a0into\u00a0an\u00a0immersive\u00a0narrative\u00a0experience.\u00a0 The\u00a0museum\u00a0operates\u00a0in\u00a0close\u00a0collaboration\u00a0with\u00a0surrounding\u00a0cultural\u00a0institutions.\u00a0Artworks\u00a0produced\u00a0within\u00a0the\u00a0museum\u00a0travel\u00a0to\u00a0neighboring\u00a0museums\u00a0for\u00a0exhibition,\u00a0while\u00a0their\u00a0stories,\u00a0processes,\u00a0and\u00a0traces\u00a0remain\u00a0embedded\u00a0in\u00a0this\u00a0building.\u00a0In\u00a0this\u00a0way,\u00a0the\u00a0museum\u00a0becomes\u00a0a\u00a0narrative\u00a0archive\u00a0rather\u00a0than\u00a0a\u00a0container\u00a0of\u00a0objects.\u00a0 Openings\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0shell\u00a0structure\u00a0are\u00a0carefully\u00a0positioned\u00a0according\u00a0to\u00a0daylight\u00a0and\u00a0spatial\u00a0needs.
