Re-Spaced Urban Gaps!-Can Artan<\/b><\/h3>\n

This project reimagines how cities can respond to the <\/span>evolving needs<\/b> of their people by transforming <\/span>urban gaps<\/b>\u2014the empty, underused, or forgotten spaces between buildings\u2014into meaningful and <\/span>flexible environments<\/b>. Located in Kahramanmara\u015f, it aims to create a dynamic architectural intervention that empowers both citizens and designers to <\/span>discuss, design, and prototype<\/b> ideas for the public realm.<\/span><\/p>\n

The core of the design revolves around a <\/span>Think-to-Make Path<\/b>, a journey that starts with identifying <\/span>social needs<\/b>, continues with collaborative exploration in the <\/span>Idea Nest<\/b>, and culminates in full-scale experiments at the <\/span>Prototype Cube<\/b>. These prototypes can later be implemented in real city gaps\u2014such as <\/span>narrow alleys<\/b>, <\/span>courtyards<\/b>, <\/span>park edges<\/b>, and <\/span>leftover lots<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The building is organized along two main streets: the <\/span>Public Line<\/b>, which hosts the most open and accessible functions (like the map, registration, library, and reception), and the <\/span>Creative Corridor<\/b>, where idea development and hands-on production take place.<\/span><\/p>\n

Inside, functions are arranged to reflect five stages: <\/span>Idea<\/b>, <\/span>Research<\/b>, <\/span>Design<\/b>, <\/span>Prototype<\/b>, and <\/span>Exhibit<\/b>\u2014each stage supported by uniquely designed spaces such as <\/span>co-working areas<\/b>, <\/span>children\u2019s reading corners<\/b>, <\/span>interactive sketch walls<\/b>, and <\/span>VR\/AR labs<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Instead of creating fixed solutions, the project builds a <\/span>platform for possibilities<\/b>\u2014where solutions grow out of collective intelligence. The architecture becomes an <\/span>incubator for public design<\/b>, encouraging community-led transformation of urban space.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is not just a building; it is a <\/span>tool<\/b> to reprogram how we understand and shape the city. It\u2019s about making design <\/span>inclusive<\/b>, <\/span>adaptive<\/b>, and <\/span>deeply rooted<\/b> in its urban context.<\/span><\/p>\n
