THE ENGINE<\/span><\/b> is an educational hub where learning happens by doing. Instead of a regular school where students just read and sit, this project is an urban “production machine” in Sahabiye, Kayseri. It adapts the traditional Village Institute model into a high-tech city context. The main idea is that the school doesn’t just consume; it produces. Everything works together like a real engine split into three main blocks:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>first block<\/span><\/b> is the generator, which is the large sports arena. Athletes and students use the court and track here, but they aren’t just playing sports. All of their movements are tracked to create raw tracking data.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>second block<\/span><\/b> is the processor, which contains the laboratories. The harvested data goes straight here. One side is a “dirty zone” equipped with 3D printers and tools to build physical prototypes like custom footwear or gear, while the other side is a “clean zone” with computers where students do coding and CAD modeling to analyze body data.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>third block<\/span><\/b> is the connector, which functions as the main public pathway. It acts as a social interface that cuts right through the school and opens up to the neighborhood. This layout lets everyday people from the city walk inside to test the gear and interact with the students.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Visually<\/span><\/b>, the project looks like a bold piece of machinery. It sits on a heavy, raw concrete base so it feels firmly grounded into the terrain. The walls are made of dark steel frames, glass panels with yellow frames, making the building look like a working engine that brings fresh energy, health, and design technology to Sahabiye.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
