My\u00a0Escapecore\u00a0protects a childhood memory of a summer when I was in first grade. During a holiday at a hotel, I became friends with a Ukrainian girl. Even though we came from different countries and spoke different languages, we spent\u00a0almost every\u00a0day together. We slid down the water slides\u00a0again and again, ate meals at the same table, ran through the hotel\u00a0corridors\u00a0and danced in the\u00a0amphitheatre\u00a0at night.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Looking back, I\u00a0realize\u00a0that the hotel itself was not what made the place special. What made it meaningful was the experience we shared. According to Yi-Fu Tuan, space becomes place through experience and that summer the hotel became a place for me because it held a memory of friendship and joy.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Our friendship was temporary and after the holiday we never saw each other again. However, the feeling of belonging we created in that\u00a0short time\u00a0remained with me. This connects with the idea of\u00a0Escapecore, belonging can exist even within movement and temporary spaces.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>For me,\u00a0Escapecore\u00a0would protect that feeling, the memory of running freely,\u00a0laughing\u00a0and sharing a moment of connection with someone from another part of the world. It shows that home is not always a permanent building but sometimes a brief experience shared with others.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shared Canvas: A Community for Creativity and Inspiration<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This project is designed as a small creative community that brings together people who appreciate art. The main concept is to create an environment where artistic production,\u00a0exhibition\u00a0and social interaction coexist. Rather than separating artists from visitors, the project encourages communication and shared experiences through a series of gathering spaces that connect private and public life.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The site consists of six residential units organized around three different gathering areas.\u00a0The first gathering space is a public art studio where residents and visitors can meet, exchange\u00a0ideas\u00a0and create artwork together. This space supports collaboration and allows artistic expression to become a visible part of everyday life. The second gathering space combines public and private functions. While the private section\u00a0contains\u00a0facilities such as a kitchen, storage and restrooms for residents, the public section serves as an exhibition area where paintings and artworks are displayed in showcases. This creates a direct connection between the creative process and its presentation to the community.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The third gathering space is an open-air platform positioned above a flowing water feature.\u00a0Designed as a contemplative and inspiring environment, it offers opportunities for relaxation,\u00a0observation\u00a0and informal interaction. The visual and acoustic presence of water contributes to the peaceful atmosphere of the project and strengthens the connection between nature and creativity.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>A typical day\u00a0in\u00a0the project begins with residents working in their homes or gathering in the studio to paint and discuss ideas. Throughout the day, visitors explore the exhibition space,\u00a0observe\u00a0the\u00a0artworks\u00a0and engage with the artists. As the evening approaches, residents and guests gather near the open platform, enjoying the sound of the water while sharing conversations and creative inspiration. In this way, the project becomes not only a place to live but also a vibrant community centered on art and human connection.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
