Sheltering\u00a0the\u00a0Raw\u00a0Real<\/span><\/b>\u00a0is a\u00a0dwelling\u00a0proposal\u00a0that\u00a0explores\u00a0the\u00a0idea of\u00a0finding\u00a0belonging\u00a0within\u00a0reality\u00a0rather\u00a0than\u00a0escaping\u00a0from\u00a0it.\u00a0Unlike\u00a0idealized\u00a0retreats\u00a0that\u00a0offer\u00a0separation\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0world,\u00a0the\u00a0project\u00a0embraces\u00a0the\u00a0scale,\u00a0harshness,\u00a0and\u00a0uncertainty\u00a0of\u00a0nature.\u00a0Located\u00a0within\u00a0the\u00a0cold\u00a0mass\u00a0of a\u00a0cliff,\u00a0the\u00a0dwelling\u00a0seeks\u00a0to\u00a0create\u00a0a sense of\u00a0comfort\u00a0and\u00a0refuge\u00a0while\u00a0remaining\u00a0fully\u00a0connected\u00a0to\u00a0its\u00a0surroundings.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Developed from a personal memory, the project evolved into an exploration of how architecture can help people accept reality and establish their own place within it. Daylight plays a central role in shaping the experience of the house. The geometry of the structure guides sunlight into the interior, leading the user toward a private piech of land carved into the landscape.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The program includes a cinema room, a vinyl collection space, and a workshop, providing opportunities for reflection, creativity, and personal engagement. Together, these spaces support a way of living that does not reject reality, but finds meaning and contentment within it.<\/span><\/p>\n

TUWANA OBA is a ceramic artisan community located in So\u011fanl\u0131 Valley, Kayseri. Named after the ancient Anatolian settlement of Tuwana, the project establishes a connection between the historical layers of the region and contemporary craft production <\/span>Inspired\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0clay\u00a0resources\u00a0found\u00a0along\u00a0the\u00a0stream\u00a0bed\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0cultural\u00a0heritage\u00a0of So\u011fanl\u0131\u00a0Valley,\u00a0the\u00a0community\u00a0focuses\u00a0on\u00a0ceramic\u00a0production\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0creation\u00a0of\u00a0handcrafted\u00a0objects\u00a0influenced\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0valley\u2019s\u00a0historic\u00a0rock-cut\u00a0churches.\u00a0The\u00a0communal\u00a0building\u00a0brings\u00a0together\u00a0exhibition\u00a0spaces,\u00a0workshops,\u00a0and\u00a0social\u00a0areas\u00a0within\u00a0a\u00a0single\u00a0structure.<\/span> Positioned\u00a0above\u00a0the\u00a0stream,\u00a0the\u00a0building\u00a0guides\u00a0visitors\u00a0through\u00a0a\u00a0sequence\u00a0of\u00a0exhibition\u00a0and\u00a0production\u00a0spaces\u00a0while\u00a0maintaining\u00a0the\u00a0privacy\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0artisans\u2019\u00a0daily\u00a0life.\u00a0Public\u00a0exhibition\u00a0areas\u00a0allow\u00a0visitors\u00a0to\u00a0experience\u00a0the\u00a0culture\u00a0of\u00a0ceramic\u00a0craftsmanship,\u00a0while\u00a0workshop\u00a0spaces\u00a0support\u00a0both\u00a0production\u00a0and\u00a0educational\u00a0activities.\u00a0Outdoor\u00a0terraces\u00a0and\u00a0communal\u00a0gathering\u00a0spaces\u00a0strengthen\u00a0social\u00a0interaction\u00a0within\u00a0the\u00a0oba.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Through\u00a0the\u00a0integration\u00a0of\u00a0local\u00a0materials,\u00a0landscape,\u00a0craftsmanship,\u00a0and\u00a0community\u00a0life,\u00a0Tuwana\u00a0Oba\u00a0aims\u00a0to\u00a0create\u00a0a\u00a0place\u00a0where\u00a0cultural\u00a0heritage\u00a0is\u00a0interpreted\u00a0through\u00a0contemporary\u00a0production\u00a0and\u00a0shared\u00a0experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n
