By transforming industrial textile waste into a catalyst for community development, the architecture functions as a physical manifestation of the recycling loop itself. The spatial organization is structured around an interconnected circulation network that seamlessly integrates public engagement, raw textile production, and climatic responsiveness.

The ground floor acts as the primary public activator, grouping the exhibition spaces, active workshops, and production studios to invite visual engagement. Central to this level is a wide, sculptural staircase designed to function as a social landscape, featuring integrated interaction pockets and informal studying zones. This core leads upward to a mezzanine floor housing faculty rooms and teachers’ offices. Above, the upper floor contains the formal classrooms, which extend onto deeply recessed terraces that blend interior learning with outdoor environments, alongside the administrative zone.

Vertically, the ground floor serves as the threshold to the subterranean level, which anchors a major auditorium and a conference hall. This lower tier maintains high accessibility, reachable directly from the underground parking lot or externally via a sunken Roman theater. The theater is accessed by a gradual ramp extending from the ground-floor exhibition path, creating a continuous loop between indoor display and outdoor community performance.

To mitigate seasonal climate extremes, the facade employs a high-performance, responsive envelope. The west facade features a system of operable, rotating glass panels that adjust to varying sun angles to eliminate glare and control heat. Simultaneously, the south-facing windows are protected by continuous vertical sunbreakers, regulating solar gain while maintaining optimal daylighting for the creative studios. Ultimately, the building operates as an educational tool, weaving community, education, and raw production into a cohesive architectural journey.

The Tear & Wear hub is conceptualized as a circular fashion education center that bridges the gap between urban sustainability and academic learning.
