Instead of separating learning from production, the project brings together drawing studios, CAD and visualization labs, prototype workshops, testing spaces, and public exhibition areas within one connected learning environment. In this system, students do not move between isolated functions; they follow a continuous design process that transforms an idea into a physical product and then into a publicly experienced outcome.

The project is located on an irregular site and is organized as a low-rise educational campus that responds to both the urban edge and the open landscape. Its massing develops as a series of articulated blocks connected by a central spine, creating a clear circulation sequence and a strong relationship between academic, production, and public zones. This organization allows the school to operate not only as a place of instruction but also as an active environment of experimentation, presentation, and exchange.

The ground floor concentrates the more public and production-oriented functions, including studios, digital labs, workshops, and spaces for interaction and display. The first floor accommodates quieter and more focused learning spaces, including the library, supporting a transition from collective making to individual study and reflection. This vertical and horizontal layering helps define different degrees of privacy while keeping all parts of the project visually and functionally connected.

This project reflects this logic through a horizontally extended composition with shifting volumes, recessed connections, and open edges that strengthen circulation and spatial continuity. As a result, the project proposes a school where learning is inseparable from producing, testing, exhibiting, and sharing, turning design education into an open and community-oriented experience.

PROTOHUB is proposed as an Industrial Design High School where education is shaped through making, testing, and public interaction rather than through theory alone.
