Project Overview & Site Diagnosis:Urban environments frequently suffer from spatial fragmentation caused by rapid vehicular expansion, infrastructure barriers, or historical divides. ‘Liminal Textures: Suturing the Urban Split’ addresses this critical urban dichotomy located between the historic Cumhuriyet Quarter and Tacettin Veli Neighborhood in Kayseri. Re-conceptualizing this central urban rupture not as an insurmountable barrier, but as a liminal threshold\u2014a fertile ground for civic integration\u2014the design shifts the paradigm from spatial isolation to continuous pedestrian connectivity. Inspired by iconic public corridors such as La Rambla in Barcelona, the project establishes a dynamic urban spine that bridges historic heritage with modern civic life.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Strategic Interventions: Five Urban Stitches :To repair the urban tissue between Cumhuriyet and Tacettin Veli, the proposal deploys a multi-layered design methodology organized into five distinct typological ‘stitches’, operating across micro and macro scales:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
