The project approaches the square not only as an open urban void, but as a layered historical and social field shaped by memory, movement, everyday use, and architectural traces.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The design investigates how fragmented public spaces in historical city centers can be reconnected through small scale, flexible, and repeatable spatial interventions. Within the project, the existing urban conditions are analyzed through past\u2013present\u2013proposal diagrams, pedestrian movement, historical references, edge conditions, and public-use potentials. These analyses define a set of focus areas, each responding to a specific spatial problem such as weak pedestrian continuity, undefined open spaces, disconnected commercial memory, lack of stopping points, and the reduced visibility of historical traces.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The\u00a0proposed\u00a0modules\u00a0create\u00a0new\u00a0possibilities\u00a0for\u00a0sitting,\u00a0gathering,\u00a0passing,\u00a0reading,\u00a0exhibiting,\u00a0selling,\u00a0playing,\u00a0and\u00a0resting.\u00a0Rather\u00a0than\u00a0imposing\u00a0a\u00a0single\u00a0large\u00a0architectural\u00a0object,\u00a0the\u00a0project\u00a0develops\u00a0a modular\u00a0system\u00a0that\u00a0can\u00a0adapt\u00a0to\u00a0different\u00a0parts\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0square. Blue\u00a0structural\u00a0elements,\u00a0red\u00a0human\u00a0figures,\u00a0and\u00a0diagrammatic\u00a0linework\u00a0emphasize\u00a0the\u00a0relationship\u00a0between\u00a0spatial\u00a0form\u00a0and\u00a0human\u00a0scale.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Through these interventions, Urban Identity aims to strengthen the connection between Kayseri Castle, the Grand Bazaar, the square, and surrounding public spaces.
