SOLACE CORE

Solace Core is an Escapecore project that explores the relationship between stillness, self-reflection, and everyday rituals. Inspired by simple moments such as drinking coffee, reading a book, and gathering around a fire, the project transforms these ordinary experiences into a spatial journey that encourages people to disconnect from the fast pace of modern life. The project is designed as a small retreat where architecture and emotions coexist. Rather than creating a conventional building, the intention is to establish a safe and comforting environment that supports personal well-being and social interaction. Circular forms are used throughout the project to symbolize continuity, connection, and the cyclical nature of everyday life. The spatial organization consists of three interconnected experiences: a reading space, a coffee preparation area, and a communal fire pit. Each space represents a different stage of the daily routine while maintaining visual and physical relationships with one another. Natural materials, soft lighting, and open views strengthen the calming atmosphere of the project. As a user, my day begins quietly with preparing a cup of coffee in the central space. Afterwards, I move towards the reading area, where I can spend time with books while enjoying the peaceful environment around me. As daylight slowly fades, the fire pit becomes the heart of the project. It creates an opportunity for gathering, sharing stories, and building connections with others. Solace Core is not only a shelter but also an emotional landscape that allows people to slow down and reconnect with themselves. The project demonstrates how architecture can transform simple everyday actions into meaningful experiences and create a sens of belonging through stillness, reflection, and human connection.

AURA STREAM

An Escapecore Project in Soğanlı Valley, Kayseri

Aura Stream is an Escapecore project located in Soğanlı Valley, Kayseri. The project is designed as a place where sustainability, knowledge sharing, and social interaction come together in harmony with nature. Inspired by the idea of connecting people through movement and renewable energy, Aura Stream creates an architectural experience that encourages both production and public engagement.

Spatial Organization & Core Areas The project consists of two main areas: a Gathering Area and an Exhibition Area, connected by a bridge crossing the natural stream.

The Gathering Area: A collaborative workspace where six Escapecore residents gather to research, write, and print brochures about Soğanlı Valley and its historical churches. This area also provides a social atmosphere where residents can exchange ideas and work together.

The Exhibition Area: Dedicated to visitors and tourists. Here, the produced brochures are displayed and shared with the public. Two exhibition volumes and an open platform create an inviting environment that allows visitors to learn about the valley while experiencing the landscape itself.

Architectural Philosophy & Sustainability The architectural language emphasizes simplicity, openness, and a strong relationship with nature. Natural light, vegetation, flowing water, and renewable energy become active elements of the project. The bridge serves as both a physical and symbolic connection between creating knowledge and sharing it with others.

The Resident Narrative As a resident, my day begins by gathering with others to prepare brochures about Soğanlı Valley. After printing them, we cross the bridge and place them in the exhibition area. Tourists arrive, read our work, and discover the history and culture of the valley. Throughout the day, people interact, exchange ideas, and enjoy the natural surroundings together. Aura Stream becomes more than a building; it becomes a place where nature, knowledge, energy, and people continuously flow together.
