SOUNDSCAPE – A Collective Music Habitat

Soundscape is a collective living and creative environment designed around the idea that music is both a personal journey and a shared experience. The project consists of five interconnected houses, each belonging to a member of a small musical community. While every resident has a private space for daily life, the overall design encourages collaboration, creativity, and social interaction.  The settlement is organized around a central communal area connected by a network of pedestrian paths. These pathways act as physical and symbolic links, strengthening relationships between the residents and creating opportunities for spontaneous encounters. Surrounded by a forested landscape, the houses are carefully integrated into nature, allowing the built environment to coexist with open green spaces and mature trees.  At the core of Soundscape is a private music studio reserved exclusively for the five residents. This space serves as a place for composing, rehearsing, recording, and writing songs, supporting both individual and collaborative artistic production. The studio is designed as a creative retreat where ideas can develop in a quiet and inspiring atmosphere. Complementing the studio is an outdoor performance area that is accessible to the public. Unlike the private creative spaces, the concert venue invites visitors into the community, creating a connection between the musicians and their audience. The residents themselves perform here, transforming their creative process into a shared cultural experience.  The project balances privacy and openness through the careful placement of buildings and outdoor spaces. Open areas between the studio and the concert venue provide flexible spaces for gathering, relaxation, and informal performances, reinforcing the lively character of the community.  Soundscape is more than a residential project; it is a small creative ecosystem where architecture, music, and nature come together. By combining private living, collective production, and public engagement, the project creates a dynamic environment that celebrates creativity, friendship, and the power of shared artistic experiences.
