Sheltering the Raw Real is a dwelling proposal that explores the idea of finding belonging within reality rather than escaping from it. Unlike idealized retreats that offer separation from the world, the project embraces the scale, harshness, and uncertainty of nature. Located within the cold mass of a cliff, the dwelling seeks to create a sense of comfort and refuge while remaining fully connected to its surroundings. Developed from a personal memory, the project evolved into an exploration of how architecture can help people accept reality and establish their own place within it. Daylight plays a central role in shaping the experience of the house. The geometry of the structure guides sunlight into the interior, leading the user toward a private piech of land carved into the landscape. The program includes a cinema room, a vinyl collection space, and a workshop, providing opportunities for reflection, creativity, and personal engagement. Together, these spaces support a way of living that does not reject reality, but finds meaning and contentment within it.

TUWANA OBA is a ceramic artisan community located in Soğanlı Valley, Kayseri. Named after the ancient Anatolian settlement of Tuwana, the project establishes a connection between the historical layers of the region and contemporary craft production Inspired by the clay resources found along the stream bed and the cultural heritage of Soğanlı Valley, the community focuses on ceramic production and the creation of handcrafted objects influenced by the valley’s historic rock-cut churches. The communal building brings together exhibition spaces, workshops, and social areas within a single structure. Positioned above the stream, the building guides visitors through a sequence of exhibition and production spaces while maintaining the privacy of the artisans’ daily life. Public exhibition areas allow visitors to experience the culture of ceramic craftsmanship, while workshop spaces support both production and educational activities. Outdoor terraces and communal gathering spaces strengthen social interaction within the oba. Through the integration of local materials, landscape, craftsmanship, and community life, Tuwana Oba aims to create a place where cultural heritage is interpreted through contemporary production and shared experiences.
