Life in Between Layers
Life in Between Layers is an escapecore habitat positioned at the intersection of three natural environments: forest, mountain, and sea. The project explores the idea of transition—not only between physical layers of nature, but also between different states of mind. It is designed as a retreat from the speed of everyday life, encouraging visitors to slow down, reconnect with natural cycles, and engage in simple yet meaningful activities. The architectural form reflects this layered experience. The upper level is dedicated to living and production. Here, I can brew coffee, read books, and cultivate coffee plants, becoming part of a small-scale production process. These activities promote mindfulness and create a sense of connection between people and the resources they consume. The curved geometry of the structure guides movement gently, creating a continuous flow between spaces and framing views toward the surrounding landscape. Natural light, soft textures, and the presence of vegetation strengthen the atmosphere of calmness and reflection In contrast, the lower level is immersed in the marine environment and serves as an observation area. Large openings establish a visual connection with the underwater world, allowing visitors to experience marine life in silence. The observations gathered are then transformed into photographs and shared in small exhibition spaces, creating a dialogue between nature and human perception. A typical day begins by crossing the bridge and leaving the outside world behind. I enter a quiet environment, make a cup of coffee, and spend time reading a book whilst gazing at the sea and the mountains. Later, I look at the coffee plants and learn about their growth cycles. As the day progresses, I descend to the underwater level; here, the sounds of the surroundings fade, and my attention turns to the fish, the reflections of light and the movements beneath the water. Before leaving, I display or examine the photographs I have taken during my observations; I depart with a renewed awareness of the connections that exist on land, in the water, in nature and within myself.

FLOWSCAPE
Flowscape is a social gathering and learning space shaped by the relationship between water, movement, and landscape. The project is located within a terraced topography where architecture follows the natural contours of the site instead of dominating them. Inspired by the continuous flow of water and human movement, the design creates a sequence of interconnected spaces that encourage exploration, interaction, and relaxation. At the heart of the project is an S-shaped building that brings together a coffee workshop, restaurant, reading areas, and social spaces. The workshop introduces visitors to coffee culture through shared learning experiences, while the restaurant offers a welcoming environment where people can gather, dine, and spend time together. The reading and lounge areas provide quieter spaces for reflection and conversation. A pedestrian bridge extends the experience beyond the building, connecting visitors to the surrounding landscape and strengthening the relationship between architecture and nature. The project aims to attract a diverse user group, including couples, families, tourists, young adults, and seniors. By combining educational, social, and recreational functions, Flowscape becomes more than a destination; it becomes a place where different experiences naturally intersect. A visitor arriving at Flowscape first enters through the parking area and follows a gently descending path toward the central gathering space. The sounds of conversation and better smells lead them toward the workshop and restaurant. After participating in a coffee-making activity, they move to the reading lounge, enjoying a book and a cup of coffee while overlooking the landscape. As the day continues, they cross the bridge to experience the water and surrounding scenery, ending their journey with a sense of connection to both people and place. Through this continuous sequence of experiences, Flowscape transforms movement into memory and landscape into a shared social experience.
